Raasay Distillery
We were delighted to be ask involved in the launch of the first legal distillery on the Isle of Raasay, Hebrides, Scotland. The 19th century Borodale House was revitalised to form the cornerstone of the state -of-the-art distillery, visitor centre and luxury accommodation. Our role was to furnish and style 6 luxury en-suite bedrooms as well as the guest and gathering areas. The design and style had to be sympathetic with the new streamlined distillery, so a pared back look with a luxurious feel - achieved with the use of natural finishes, wood, wool, leather and a colour palette reflecting the beautiful surrounding landscape. A project not without logistical challenges, being based on an island, but so worth it to see the final end result and the great successes that the distillery has gone on to achieve.
